In addition to light scenes the gateway also enables the use of
effects. An effect is essentially the process control of light
values of different groups and individual ECGs. The individual
light values can either be directly controlled or dimmed via a
dim value. 64 effect steps can be programmed by an effect
function. An effect step can also be programmed as a delay.
