7 Analog Control

R4G/R4GE series

Parallel Operation

The output current can be increased by connecting two units of the same model in parallel.

In this case, the output voltage and output current can be easily controlled by the master unit.



Turn off the [POWER ON/OFF] switches of all units.



Set the [One control ON/OFF] switch on the rear panel of the slave unit to ON.



Connect the master and slave units as shown in the next page.



Set the voltage setting dial of the slave unit to the maximum.



Set the [POWER ON/OFF] switch on the slave unit to ON and [OUTPUT ON/OFF] switch ON.



Set the [POWER ON/OFF] switch on the master unit to ON and [OUTPUT ON/OFF] switch ON.



Set the output voltage and current with the voltage and current setting dials on the master unit.



The CV and CC LEDs on the master unit indicate the output condition.



For slave units, the CC LED will be lit in the constant current (CC) mode operation.



Wire as short as possible. If not, it may result in malfunction.



If the output is unstable, install a capacitor with tens to hundreds of µF at the output of each unit.



The output current of the master unit and slave unit will not become the same value.

Wiring method for master/slave signal input/output terminals (TB2)



Insert the conductor part of the wiring, while pressing the slit (concave part) of the terminal using a

flat-blade screwdriver with a thin tip, and release the flat-blade screwdriver.



When removing the wiring, do the same thing, pressing the slit part with a flat-blade driver and pulling

the wiring to remove it.



Use lead wires with AWG28 to AWG22.
