10.3 Connecting the maxium Beamer to the maxium HF Surgical Unit

In the usual set-up (e.g. when installing both units on the maxium Cart), the two system compo-
nents maxium HF generator (“m”, “i” or “e” version) and maxium Beamer are placed on top of each
other and connected with each other by fixing rails and ball-head bolts (vertical latch pins).

The maxium Beamer is controlled via the maxium HF generator through a special cable that is also
used for supplying the maxium Beamer with electric power. The cable is included in the maxium
Beamer’s scope of delivery.

The maxium Beamer is activated only if you select a Beamer-supported type of current (e.g.
"ARGON BEAM"). This is indicated by the gas cylinder symbol appearing on the maxium’s display.
At the same time, the green maxium Beamer LED will come on.
