MAINTENANCE
1. MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION: The device contains live electrical components. The de-
vice may only be opened by a person with the appropriate electrical
qualification Electrical shock hazard.
IMPORTANT: Before carrying out any work on the device, make sure
that it is disconnected from the mains.
ATTENTION: DANGER. It contains flammable gas.
Any service works on this device may only be carried out by a pro-
fessionally qualified person!
(a) Inspect regularly the water line for water leaks or air intake that would result in
system aeration.
(b) Clean the pool and filter regularly to prevent damage to the equipment due to
a dirty or clogged filter.
(c) Check regularly the power supply and the condition of the power cord. If the ma-
chine starts to operate abnormally, turn off the machine immediately and contact
an authorized service centre.
(d Check regularly the technical condition of the heat pump and remove impurities
from its evaporator to avoid reducing the efficiency of the heat exchange.
(e) Check regularly the working area of the pump, keep it clean and remove accumu-
lated dirt, leaves or snow.
(f) When the heat pump is not in use, disconnect it from the mains, drain the water
and cover it with a tarpaulin or PE foil.
(g) Use normal dish-washing detergent and clean water to wash the heat pump externally.
(h) Clean regularly the outer surface of the evaporator from trapped dirt with a soft
brush. Check the evaporator surface for fin creases. The fins can be carefully
straightened with a flat, not sharp tool. The warranty does not cover mechanical
damage to the fins.
(i) Check regularly the tightening of the screws securing the covers and the wear
of the power cord. Clean the rusted parts with a wire brush and treat them with
anti-corrosion paint.
(j) Remove regularly the top cover and clean the inside of the heat pump from dirt.
(k) All repairs to the internal parts of the heat pump may only be carried out by a qua-
lified professional.
2. WINTERIZING
(a) Disconnect the heat pump from the mains.
(b) Drain the pump by disconnecting the pool hoses from both connections to the
filter circuit.
(c) Remove the remaining water from the heat exchanger by tilting or vacuuming.
Make sure that there is no water left in the heat exchanger (RISK OF FREEZING).
(d) Store the device in a dry place during the winter season. In any case, prevent
water from entering the heat exchanger.
IMPORTANT: Proper winterizing is very important. No water must remain in
the pump heat exchanger. The warranty does not cover any damage to the heat
exchanger due to frost.
