6. COMMISSIONINGT
Note: A necessary condition for the operation of the device is the flow of pool
water through the exchanger, which is ensured by a filtering pump. The flow
through the exchanger should correspond to the recommended value (see
Technical data) and can be at most 2x higher.
If all previous installation steps have been performed and all connections have
been checked, the following steps must be followed at startup.
1. Switch on the filtering pump and check that there is sufficient water flowing
through the heat pump and no water leakage occurs.
2. Switch on the power supply to the heat pump; press the button on the control
panel. After a certain time delay, the device starts working.
3. After a few minutes of operation, make sure that the heat pump emits a signifi-
cantly cooler airflow than the one it sucks in (by approx. 5-10 ° C).
4. Switch off the filtrating pump and make sure that the heat pump also stops auto-
matically. If this is not the case, have the flow switch checked.
5. Leave the heat pump and filtering pump running 24 hours a day until the requi-
red pool temperature is reached
Depending on the initial temperature of the pool water, air temperature and heat
loss, it may take several days for the water to reach the desired temperature. Covering
the pool and other measures to reduce heat loss can significantly reduce this time.
Automatic control systems
Heat pump operation control based on water temperature
The control system compares the temperature at the inlet to the exchanger with
the set target temperature and the heat pump operation is switched off and on
accordingly. The sensitivity of the thermostat is factory set to 1 ° C; switching off
occurs when the water temperature in the exchanger reaches the target tempera-
ture, and switching on when the water temperature in the exchanger drops by the
value of the thermostat sensitivity below the target temperature.
Note: When the temperature for switching on the heat pump operation is reached,
the time delay is activated. The heat pump does not switch on until it has elapsed.
Time delay
The device is equipped with a switching time delay element with a set delay time
to protect the control elements in the circuit and eliminate repeated restarts and
contactor oscillations. This time delay will automatically restart the device after
approx. 2 minutes after each interruption of the heat pump operation. Even with
a short power failure, a time delay will be activated to prevent the unit from star-
ting before the pressures inside the heat pump are equalized. Interruption of the
power supply during the time delay has no effect on the time interval.
Safety temperature and pressure systems
The device is equipped with temperature sensors and a pressure sensor, which automa-
tically switch off the device when the set temperatures and pressures are exceeded.
If a fault occurs in any of these systems (system fault, disconnection or abnormal
value is measured), an error message will appear on the display, see chapter 6.
