Check coolant level and oil level

Check air filter for dirt

Retighten the cylinder head bolts, 1st retightening.
(on overhauled engine)

Check tension of V-belts and tighten if necessary or replace if worn

Check fasteners for tight seating and tighten if necessary

Retighten the cylinder head bolts, 2nd retightening
(on new or overhauled engine)

Change fuel filter 1)

Clean fuel prefilter

Check and if necessary adjust valve clearance

Maintain/clean/replace air filter 1)

Change engine oil and oil filter 2)

Injection nozzles: Removal and installation, examine and replace if necessary

Remove/install coolant pump and repair if necessary

Check exhaust gas turbocharger for soiling, play and check function,
repair if necessary

Check starter and replace wear parts if necessary

Comment:
1) Depending on the operational conditions/earlier for dusty environments
2) Oil change interval is 500 operating hours. Use engine oil to factory standard M 3275 or M 3277.
This interval is 250 operating hours for other approved oils.
