Common Sense Camera Care and Practice
This camera is a precision optical and mechanical instrument, built for heavy
professional use and a long service life, if properly maintained and treated.
Please observe the following caveats:
Read the instructions before using the camera.
Protect the camera against shocks and falls. Use the included Neck Strap
whenever possible.
Check the batteries frequently and always carry spares. The new, sealed
battery supplied with this camera may have been subjected to storage
conditions that could reduce its service life. It should be replaced as
soon as possible.
Be sure to wipe the battery contacts before installing the batteries in the
camera, and be sure to install them noting the correct polarity.
Battery life depends on the frequency of use, type, age, storage conditions,
and temperature. When photographing in cold weather, use the External
Battery Case.
Always remove the batteries and film if the camera will not be used for a
long period of time.
Always keep covers on the lenses and camera body.
Do not store the camera at temperatures exceeding 40 degrees C (105 F) or
-10 degrees C (15 F).
