With AE operation, select the Av (Aperture Priority AE) and choose the
Spot Exposure Mode (S). You can use the lens in conjunction with
stop-down metering.
6. Depress the Shutter Release Button down halfway to show the
shutter speed.
Available Functions with M645 Lenses
X = Not available
O = Available
When using a lens with an aperture of f/5.6 or larger, you can adjust the
focus by using the Focus Assist Mark in the viewfinder.
When the A/M Lever is set to M, and the aperture is stopped down to
more than f/5.6, you cannot use the Focus Assist Mark. In this case,
the out of focus marks blink, indicating that the image is out of
focus.
The AF Supplemental Infrared Light does not function with these lenses.
External Battery Socket
When using the External Battery Case during cold weather operation,
connect the case's cable to the camera's External Power Socket.
1. Set the Shutter Mode Selector Lever to L.
2. Remove the External Power Socket's cap
with a coin or straight-blade screwdriver.
3. Remove the batteries from the camera's
Battery Case.
Turn the Battery Case's Detach Lever and
remove the Battery Case. Remove the batteries
from the case, and then insert the case into the
camera and lock it in place.
4. Connect the cord from the External Battery
Case to the camera's External Battery Socket.
