Auto

Bracketing Mode

When you have a subject that it is difficult to determine the Exposure Compensation,
or when you take another photography with only slightly different exposure values,
use the Auto-Bracketing function.

1. Turn the Shutter Release Mode Selector Lever
to either "S" or "C".

In the "S" position, the camera takes one picture
with each full press of the Shutter Release Button.

In the "C" position, the camera takes three pictures
sequentially.

2. Press the Function Mode Setting Button for about
one second to enter Auto-Bracketing Mode.

The Auto-Bracketing Mark and "0.3" will be
displayed in the Mai

n

LCD Panel.

3. Turn the Front or Rear Dial to choose the
Exposure Compensation value from 1/3, 1/2,
2/3 or 1 (displayed as 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 1.0).

The setting will be registered after five seconds
or by pressing any other camera button.

4. Press the Shutter Release Button down halfway.

Select the required Shutter Release Mode, Ex-
posure Mode, and Exposure Compensation,
and then fully press the Shutter Release Button.

The viewfinder displays: "nl" (standard exposure),
"u2" (under exposure) and "o3" (overexposure) in the
order the frames were exposed, and the numbers
1, 2, and 3 blink correspondingly.

Single-Frame Mode

(S)

Press the Shutter Release Button down completely for each frame.

While taking photographs, the camera does not fix the exposure value. It
meters the exposure level for each frame and provides auto-bracket
exposures in steps.

The camera will remain in Auto-Bracket Mode until the last exposure
is made or Auto-Bracketing Mode is canceled.

Continuous Mode (C)

By holding the Shutter Release button, the camera will take three
frames in series, and then stops.

With each press of the Shutter Release Button, the camera will
repeat the three continuous frames.

While in Auto-Bracketing Mode, if the number of available frames is
less then three,

will be displayed and Auto-Bracketing

Mode will be canceled.
