1 Scope of delivery

Scope of delivery depends on the
system configuration.
PPB 30 O/K/RC ventilation unit
●
Internal cover, complete: Housing,
2 G3 air filter and front cover.
●
Slide-in module (including 2 fan units and
2 ceramic heat exchangers)
● 1 extension duct 200 mm long, 1 centring
ring, 2 sealing bands.
●
1 internal housing drilling template
● These mounting instructions for final moun-
ting kit.

Specialist installer qualification
Shell measures may only be undertaken by a
trained specialist
. Only a
trained electrician
is permitted to undertake final mounting and
work on the electrics. You are considered a
trained electrician if your specialist training
and experience

means that you are familiar with the relevant
standards and guidelines
●
enables you to correctly and safely under-
take the electrical connections in accord-
ance with the wiring diagram provided and
●
enables you to recognise and avoid risks
and hazards associated with electricity.
After successful installation and commis-
sioning, instruct users in the ventilation
unit and operating units.
3 Intended use
PPB 30 ventilation units with heat recovery
are used for air extraction and ventilation of
apartments, offices and similar rooms. They
are suitable for new builds as well as reno-
vation work. The housing unit's ventilation
system should be configured in accordance
with DIN 1946-6.
PPB 30 are balanced ventilation units, which
are the ideal choice for use in
exhaust air rooms
(bathroom, WC or kitchen
with windows
)
and aerate and ventilate the rooms at the
same time. Exhaust air mode is started auto
-
matically depending on the setting or can be
started manually at the touch of a button.
PPB 30 are stand-alone units or can be used
in groups with other PPB 30/PP 45 units.
PPB 30 units have degree of protection IP
X4. The protection zone must be determined
depending on the unit variant used.
PPB 30 are installed in outside walls (wall
thickness 320-790 mm, installation position
with slight incline towards the outside wall)
and are connected to a permanently wired
electrical installation.
The PPB 30 models "O" for object, "K" for
comfort and the radio version "RC" are avail-
able. The units are operated using an RLS../
DS.. room air control suitable for the type:
PPB 30 O
units are operated with RLS 45
O or RLS 45 K control.
PPB 30 K
units are
operated with RLS 45 K control.
PPB 30 RC
units are operated using a DS 45 RC radio
switch (alternatively with RLS 45 K
+ radio extension module PP 45 EO).
The following are not possible/not permis-
sible:
●
operation of PPB 30 K units in conjunction
with an RLS 45 O controller,
● a combination of PPB 30 K with exhaust air
units (e.g. ER.../ECA...),
● a mixture of PPB 30 O and PP 45 O/K units
at the fan interface (Fan1/Fan2).
RLS 45 K:
3 operating modes (heat recovery,
cross-ventilation, automatic mode), 5 ventila-
tion levels, time-limited intermittent ventila-
tion,
time-limited switch-off, safety switch-off, Mod-
Bus, configuration with PC (USB). PP 45 EO
radio module can be added to integrate radio
sensors.
RLS 45 O:
3 operating modes (heat recovery,
cross-ventilation, automatic mode), 5 ventila-
tion levels, configuration using service menu.
A PPB 30 outer cover with integrated conden-
sate drain is required for installation with a
wall sleeve.
