7.1 Dismantling of the outer tube
After pumping sticky and hardening liquids the pump tube can be dismantled for intensive cleaning.
a) Release the tri-clamp connection above the pump outlet and remove the pump tube (→ Fig. 9). Tread carefully
to avoid damaging the mechanical seal. If the parts cannot be easily pushed apart, gently slide the anti-twist
device out of the outer tube with a screwdriver (→ Fig. 10).
b) Now release the retaining ring in the suction opening. Thus insert a screwdriver into one of the notches of the
retaining ring (→ Fig. 11, Item 1).
c) Now carefully slide the retaining ring.
!
CAUTION
The retaining ring can jump out and cause injury!
Tread carefully.
d) After that remove retaining ring and spacer ring or inline protection (→ Fig. 11, Item 2).
e) Press the stator with the drive shaft downwards out of the outer tube (→ Fig. 12). Inspect stator and shaft
for wear and replace, if necessary. When using elastomer stators, pay particular attention to contamination
of the sprue places (on the side of the circumference) during cleaning.
7.2 Dismantling of the shaft
For a particularly intensive cleaning, the drive shaft can be detached from the bearing unit.
7.2.1 Version with flexible shaft
► Put the pump tube into the disassemby position
B70V-H-D SanitaryPlus:
► Turn the B70V-H-D upside down for the disassembly of the flexible shaft (→ Fig. 13, Item 1). For pumps in
long special lengths, release the 4 cylinder head screws and pull the flange off the bearing unit (→ Fig. 14).
Place the pump tube horizontally on the table (→ Fig. 15).
B70V-H-SR SanitaryPlus:
► Slide the retaining ring out of the hand wheel with a screwdriver (→ Fig. 16) and remove the hand wheel
(→ Fig. 17). Then it is recommended to place the pump tube horizontally on the table (→ Fig. 18).
a) To detach the flexible shaft from the bearing unit, remove the cylinder pin through the leakage port.
► To do this, turn the shaft until the cylinder pin is visible in the middle of the leakage port (→ Fig. 13 - Item 2).
► If necessary, push the locking device of the cylinder pin aside (→ Fig. 13, Item 3).
► Then slide the cylinder pin out of the shaft with a punch (ø <5mm). Alternatively use our mounting tool
(→ Fig. 19).
