All connections and fittings are properly tightened.
!
WARNING
If connections are not properly or not at all tightened:
- it can come to splashing medium.
- it can come to flying parts.
- the pump may start to move uncoordinatedly.

WARNING
Danger of injury and intoxication when handling hazardous liquids!
►Always wear protective equipment when working on the pump.
►When pumping dangerous media (e.g. hot, explosive. poisonous, dangerous to health) observe safety provisions
for handling hazardous substances.
6.1 Dry running
► The pump is said to run dry if it continues to operate without pumping any liquid (→ Fig. 8). Dry running must
be avoided. This can be ensured by remaining in attendance or with the aid of such technical means as a
flow monitor, etc.
6.2 Suction funnel
► At least the suction openings must be completely covered with the medium in order to prevent the infiltration
of air while pumping. When pumping highly viscous products, care must also be taken to prevent the formation
of suction funnels.
6.3 Operation with closed discharge

DANGER
Injury by flying parts!
The eccentric screw pump B70V-H SanitaryPlus is a positive displacement pump. The pump must not be operated
with closed shutoff elements, such as nozzle, valve, etc. An excessive pressure build-up may result in damage.
Make sure that the maximum pressure will not be exceeded (→ technical data).
6.4 Malfunction

WARNING
Pinching by rotating parts!
►In case of malfunction or unreproducible downtime, disconnect the motor from the mains before repair work
is carried out.
