CAUTION
The flexible shaft may jump out!
Due to the spring of the mechanical seal, this connection is under bias. Make sure that nobody can be
injured by jumping out of the flexible shaft.
b) Now pull the flexible shaft out of the bearing unit (→ Fig. 20).
c) The mechanical seal can now also be easily pulled off (→ Fig. 21).
d) Inspect the mechanical seal for damage and contamination.
7.3 Reassembly
a) Again insert the stator into the suction opening. Position it by turning it until it is seated correctly in its anti-twist
device. This is the case if there is sufficient available space below the stator for the spacer ring / inline protection
and the retaining ring.
b) Now insert your spacer ring/ inline protection again.
c) Insert the retaining ring into the notch. Position one end of the retaining ring centrically between two notches
of the suction opening (→ Fig. 24, Item 1). This facilitates the subsequent disassembly.
d) If this end is form-locked seated in the groove, then press it downwards in the opposite notch of the suction
opening (→ Fig. 24, Item 2).
e) After this press the second end downwards into the groove (→ Fig. 24, Item 3).
f) Make sure that the retaining ring is seated correctly and form-locked in the groove at each point.
NOTICE
The retaining ring is necessary as otherwise the stator is pressed out of the tube during operation due
to the arising pressure in the tube!

CAUTION
When installing the retaining ring, you can squeeze your fingers!
Tread carefully.
7.3.1 Version with flexible shaft
► Put the pump tube into the respective assembly position.
► Depending on the version, turn the pump tube upside down or place the pump horizontally on the table.
g) Push the flexible shaft back into the bearing shaft (→ Fig. 25, Item 1).
h) Rotate flexible shaft and bearing shaft to each other so that both bores are aligned.
i) Insert the cylinder pin into the opening of the bearing shaft (→ Fig. 25 - Item 2).
j) Now slide the cylinder pin centrically into the bearing shaft with a punch (ø <5mm). Alternatively use our
mounting tool. (→ Fig. 25 - Item 3).
k) Make sure that the pin is centred and the locking device of the cylinder pin is in front of the cylinder pin
(→ Fig. 28).
