6.5 Taking out of operation
!
WARNING
Danger of injury and intoxication when handling hazardous liquids!
► Always wear protective equipment when working on the pump.
► Collect any residual liquid issuing from the pump safely and dispose of it in an environmentally friendly fashion.
NOTICE
Damage to property with horizontal storage of a pump tube wetted with fluid!
► Remove the pump tube from the container carefully and allow the remaining liquid to flow back into the container.
►The pump must be flushed and cleaned with an appropriate detergent after pumping process.
7. Manual cleaning
The pump tube is designed for a manual cleaning.
► The pump must be cleaned after each operation.
► For emptying, the pump must be lifted from the liquid as far as the suction openings are above the liquid level.
► Continue to operate the pump as long as no liquid is pumped anymore.
► Release the tri-clamp connection at the pump discharge and remove the pump from the delivery line.
► Remove the pump from the container.
► For first cleaning, the pump tube can be flushed with an appropriate detergent. We recommend the disinfectant
cleanser: neoseptal
®
plus. This cleaner is tested to be suitable for use on most surfaces.
For a more thorough cleaning, the pump tube can be dismantled. This is explained in step 7.1 and 7.2.
Afterwards all parts of the pump tube can be cleaned. As with the flushing of the pump tube, we recommend the
use of the disinfectant cleaner: neoseptal
®
plus. This complies with standards EN 1276, EN 1650, EN 13697.
Following application advice must be observed:
Concentration:
0,5vol.-% (5ml/L)
Application time:
15 min.
Temperature:
20 up to 40°C
After the end of application time the surfaces must be thoroughly rinsed with fresh water.
Inspect rotor and stator for wear and replace if necessary.
