Operating instructions
Using the breadmaker
1.
Take the bread pan out of the breadmaker and attach the kneading
blade onto its rotation axis, making sure it is properly aligned on the
semicircle shaped axis. (Use the cake tin and mixing blade for cakes.)
2.
Add the ingredients (at room temperature) into the bread pan in the
order they are listed in the recipe (recipes start on page 18). Start
with liquid ingredients, then fat/oil, dry ingredients and yeast at last.
Add any extra ingredients such as fruit or nuts into the chute on top
of the machine. They will be added automatically during the process.
NOTE:
If you set the delay timer, make sure the yeast is on top of
the flour so it does not get mixed with water, salt or sugar,
otherwise the yeast activity will be affected.
3.
Holding the pan by the handle, line it up with the connection on the
base and insert it into the breadmaker, pushing it down by the rim
until it snaps securely into place. Fold down the handle and close the
lid.
4.
When the power is on, the LCD screen will display the default setting:
MENU 1, TIMER 3:25, MEDIUM colour, 1kg loaf size. Press the
MENU button repeatedly until your chosen program is displayed; it
will cycle through all 11 options.
5.
After you have selected a program, press the COLOUR button to select
a level of browning (choose from LIGHT, MEDIUM, DARK or RAPID)
and the LOAF button to select size (choose from 500g, 750g or 1kg).
6.
Press the START/STOP button for the program to start or, if you want
to delay the start of the program, press the up or down arrow buttons
to delay the starting time in 10 minute increments. The LCD will then
indicate that the timer is on.
