DELETING AN EXPANDER FROM THE SYSTEM
If you want to delete an expander, whether linked or not linked, follow this procedure:
The
Select by Expander
and the
Select by Loop Address
options permit you to select a specific network device (central node included).
You will use one of the following two windows to select a specific expander:
Select the desired expander, then press
Enter
.
If you delete one
FI750/RF/WE
but you have got other of them in the system, you will have to reperform an
“
Autolearn / discovery
”
operation, as
described in this manual.

The required network device is searched through its sequential number (1 to 16).
Select by Loop Address
The required network device is searched through its intelligent loop address.
If [Legacy mode] is NOT activated, the
FI750/RF/WE
have
their own loop address; therefore,
Select by Loop Address
can be used to fetch them. On the other hand, if [Legacy
mode] is activated, only the
FI750/RF/W2W
device can be
fetched using
Select by Loop Address
.

Delete Expander
To scroll through the expand-
ers, use the Up and Down keys.
Use Enter to select the required one.
To proceed power off
expander 2

Confirm delete

Always switch off the expanders
you remove from the system!
Expander 2 deleted.
Press back to exit
It is not possible to delete the
expander corresponding to the
central node! (Expander 1)
If you delete one
FI750/RF/WE

”
