CHAPTER 1 - BASIC INFORMATION
1.1 Inspection
- Remove the inverter from its packing and inspect its exterior for shipping damage.
If damage is apparent notify the shipping agent and your LSIS sales
representative.
- Remove the cover and inspect the inverter for any apparent damage or foreign
objects. Ensure that all mounting hardware and terminal connection hardware is
properly seated, securely fastened, and undamaged.
- Check the nameplate on the iP5A inverter. Verify that the inverter unit is the
correct horsepower and input voltage for the application.
- Inverter control is applied for AC asynchronous (Induction Motor) Synchronous
motor is excluded.

* UL Open type : UL Open type product must be mounted on the panel in a house.
* UL Enclosed type 1 : UL Enclosed type1 product can be mounted without the
panel in a house.
1.1.2 Installation
To operate the inverter reliably, install the inverter in a proper place with the
correct direction and with the proper clearances.
1.1.3 Wiring
Connect the power supply, motor and operation signals (control signals) to the
terminal block. Note that incorrect connection may damage the inverter and
peripheral devices.

inverter. The inverter must be installed according to this manual.
