Data-Logging:
In general:
2 types of data logging are possible:
1 . Logging data on a 2GB Micro SD card (must not be if type "HC").
2 . Logging data via built-in USB interface on a computer.
SD-card logger: On/Off
Here, it is displayed if a SD card has been inserted and if data logging is running.
Off = no SD card inserted, or SD card inserted and data logging not running (e.g. incorrect card
type inserted).
On = SD card inserted, data logging running.
NOTICE:
Access this menu screen before removing the card and pull it out only when the bar is visible on the
right.
The card can always be inserted.
The data is logged in the CSV format, and can be read and illustrated in diagrams with a
spreadsheet software such as Excel.
During boiler activities such as "Starts" or "LogCheck", a data record is logged every 10s, otherwise
every 60 s.
The data record length depends on the basic setting of the control system – number of heating
circuits, type of conveyor, 2nd boiler ...
USB-logger: Off / On
Via the field Off/On, the data logging via USB is activated.
Off = Data logging not active
On = Data logging active
Cycle = here, the time interval, in which a data record is sent, can be adjusted (factory setting:
every 30 seconds).
Unlike with the "SD-card logger", the data is logged on a computer (e.g. laptop) that is connected
with the control system via a USB cable.
If the operating system "Windows" is used, it can occurr with older computers, that the driver "USB
to UART Bridge Controller" must be downloaded from the internet during the automatic hardware
installation.
The data is logged in the CSV format, and can be read and/or illustrated in diagrams with a
spreadsheet software such as Excel.
If the operating system "Windows" is used, the "Hyperterminal" (found under Programmes/Extras)
can be used for data logging.
