6.3 Emergency lowering of the backrest / thigh rest
The backrest and the thigh rest can be lowered manually and quickly without handset in the
case of power failure. There are two red release handles on the housing of the patient surface
motor for this:
Backrest procedure (perform with 2 persons):
•
Hold the backrest firmly in the set position and slightly relieve the load. Turn the red lever on
the motor in the direction of the backrest.
•
Lower the backrest carefully.
Thigh rest procedure (perform with 2 persons):
•
Hold the thigh rest firmly in the set position and slightly relieve the load. Turn the red lever on
the motor in the direction of the thigh rest.
•
Lower the thigh rest carefully.
Back- and Thigh rest procedure (perform with 2 persons):
•
Hold the back- and thigh rest firmly in the set position and slightly relieve the load. Turn the
red lever on the motor in the direction of the back- and thigh rest.
•
Lower the back- and thigh rest carefully.
The manual emergency lowering is only intended for use in the event of power fail-
ure. Only use if the situation requires it.
