For comfort beds, the legs up position is not used for acute care in an emergency/
shock position. Primarily, this function is used only for effortlessly setting the legs
up position for therapeutic reasons! To avoid the risk of accidentally moving the
bed to the Trendelenburg position, it is strongly recommended that the backrest is
raised by about the width of a hand simultaneously with the legs up position. It is
important that the head of the resident remains higher than the orthostatic point
of the body.

Alternative functions can only be carried out in the nursing mode (see chapter „Hand set
rear side with locking function“).

When both of these keys are pressed at the same time, the patient surface is raised and the
leg rest and back rest are retracted.
