4. Remove the cooling shroud. See “Removing the cooling shroud” on page 73.
5. Locate the coin-cell battery. See “Server components” on page 26.
6. Remove any installed PCIe card (such as the Ethernet card) that impedes your access to the coin-cell
battery. See “Removing a PCIe card” on page 91.
7. Remove the old coin-cell battery.

9. Reinstall the PCIe card (such as the Ethernet card) that has been removed. See “Installing a PCIe
card” on page 88.
10. Dispose of the old coin-cell battery as required by local ordinances or regulations.
