5. If you are installing a new slim optical drive into the upper optical-drive bay, insert a finger into the hole
as shown to push the protective shield until it is projected from the front of the chassis. Then, hold the
protective shield from the front and completely slide it out of the chassis.

If you are replacing an old slim optical drive, do the following:
a. Disconnect the signal cable and the power cable from the rear of the flex module. Lift the release
button 1 in the direction as shown and push the flex module from the rear until it is projected
from the front of the chassis. Then, hold the flex module from the front and completely slide it out
of the chassis.
