If the current required for the door lock is more than 1A (DC12 V), the use of an additional power supply is required instead of
obtaining power from the EP. The connection is shown below:
The door lock receives power from
an additional power supply, without
absorbing any current from the EP.
In some cases, other types of door
locks may be used for EPs or main EP.
