Step 2: Adjusting sensors
For reversible barriers, the sensors slow the movement of the boom before it reaches the open and
closed barrier positions.
This illustrates a barrier in normal direction. Sensor positions are reversed for a barrier in reverse direction.
➢
Opening sensor adjustment
1-
Insert a wedge of about 5 mm under the opening end stop
2-
Adjust the sensor position to be within detection limits (activated)
3-
Once this is adjusted perfectly, tighten the nut using a 17 spanner
➢
Opening slowing sensor adjustment
1-
Adjust the sensor so that it is activated (the sensor lamp should be lit) to about 10° before the
vertical position (90°).
2-
The barrier must reach the end stop slowly
3-
Once this is adjusted perfectly, tighten the nut detection cam side using a 17 spanner
➢
Closing slowing sensor adjustment
1-
Adjust the sensor so that it is activated (the sensor lamp should be lit) to about 10° before the
horizontal position (0°).
2-
The barrier must reach the end stop slowly
3-
Once this is adjusted perfectly, tighten the nut using a 17 spanner
➢
Closing sensor adjustment
4-
Insert a wedge of about 5 mm under the closing end stop
5-
Adjust the sensor position to be within detection limits (activated)
6-
Once this is adjusted perfectly, tighten the nut using a 17 spanner
