Replacing a User Panel
The Central Panel Upper (978/21) contains two user panels which can be exchanged independently. Please see
for a description of the available options.
To exchange a user panel or re-arrange the layout, you will need to remove the Central Panel Upper from the
console. Then, due to the thin blanking strip which attaches to the upper user panel, you should deal first with the
lower panel, followed by the upper panel (as viewed from the front of the console).
In our example, a new user panel is being fitted to the upper slot:
Panel Face-up
Panel Face-down
DO NOT
attempt to open the frame without first disconnecting the mains supply.
1.
Remove the Central Panel Upper from the console frame as described
, and lay it it face-down on
a piece of foam, or similar ESD-proof protective material, away from the console.
2.
Using a Hex socket and then a Torx T10 driver, remove the nuts, washers and screws which hold the
existing user panels in place.
There are seven Hex nuts and six T10 screws for each panel. However, when working on the upper panel, it is
recommended to leave the three blanking strip screws in place so that the strip will come away with the user
panel in step 3.
