Managed Devices - Connection Methods

The following table shows the methods available for connecting to a managed device.

Table 11-17  Methods of Connecting to Managed Devices

Browsing to an Ethernet or Managed Device's Web Page

Users can browse directly to the home page of a Secure Lantronix Management or other 

discovered Ethernet device.

Note:

 If the Login and Password fields in the device record have been completed, the 

SLM uses them for an automatic login when you browse to secure devices. However, if 
you use Microsoft Internet Explorer on the client machine, you must change the registry to 
use this feature. Firefox does not have this problem. You can change the Windows 
registry with the file, iefix.reg, which can be downloaded under the Secure Lantronix 
Management Appliance SLM product group at the Lantronix website:
