External –20 to 80 °C temperature sensor (ambient temperature)
Attach the ambient temperature sensor in close proximity to the monitoring
device.
Connect the wire to the PT1000 screw clamp (
8
).
External -50 to 180 °C temperature sensor (compressor temperature)
Attach the temperature sensor to the compressor’s cylinder head, which is the
area that develops the highest temperature owing to compression. The ACS
measures the temperature at the conclusion of compressor runtime.
Connect the wire to the PT1000 screw clamp (
9
).
External 0 to 10 bar pressure sensor
This sensor monitors compressor output pressure. A compressor pressure
increase indicates possible clogging, while a pressure drop indicates a possible
faulty seal. The ACS measures maximum compressor pressure during the most
recent compressor runtime.
The wire is to be connected with the correct polarization to the „+“, „-“ and „o“
contacts on the “Pressure” screw clamp (
10
).
System Voltage and Compressor Runtime
• Allowable diameter per strand:
• inflexible wire: 0.2-1.5 mm
2
• sheathed flexible wire: 0.2-0.75 mm
2
• At least one PE ground wire is to be clamped at all times.
System Voltage
To monitor system voltage (i.e. any voltage drop to below 50 V AC), connect the
“Power line” clamp (
11
) to the system power supply wire. Realize the connec-
tion behind the main switch so that the power can be switched off easily for
purposes of installation.
Compressor Runtime
To monitor compressor runtime, connect the “Comp.” clamp (
12
) to the com-
pressor power supply line. Connect only one phase if a multiphase motor is
used.
The device evaluates the total number of operating hours and the runtime of the
most recent cycle. When the device is installed, the counter is automatically
reset to zero.
To reset the counter while the device is in operation, press the reset button (
13
)
for five seconds. The LEDs H2 and H3 (
19
) flash once to confirm the reset.
Note:
It is not possible to reset the counter during remote reading of the Tx bus.
