3.8.2 Step 2:
Resistivity

This measurement determines the resistivity of the sample between two adjacent
points. In this measurement, the sample should be subjected to zero field. View the
results from a SCPI command or view the high-level results from the M91 front panel.
Results returned are resistivity, F-value, and geometry dependent values.

For hard to measure samples, it is common to increase the number of independent
measurements taken during a single resistivity determination. This permits the stan-
dard error to be calculated and reported. The M91 allows two ways of controlling the
number of samples collected:

Specify the number of samples directly.

D

Specify a minimum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Samples are continuously col-

lected until the SNR reaches the specified minimum SNR. A maximum number of
samples is also specified to place an upper bound on the number of samples
attempted.

3.8.2.1 Manual Resistivity
