Recording bearings 

For a localization bearings must be recorded. Based on the saved bearings a localization is 

calculated and written to the same record. Records are saved in the datalogger and can be 

recalled for later evaluation. 

Prerequisites for recording bearings: 

Set 

Select Data Sets

 to 

open record

. 

For only showing the bearings, set 

Data Type

 to 

Bearings

 

For showing the heatmap with localization, set 

Data Type

 to 

Localization

 

  

To create a new record: 

1.

   

Tap the 

New Record

 button. 

2.

   

Tap the 

Recording

 button to set it to 

On

. 

All bearings are now recorded and localization is automatically calculated if 

Auto Localize

 

is set to 

On

 (see 

Localization

). 

3.

   

To stop recording tap the 

Recording

 button to set it to 

Off

. 

4.

   

To clear map tap 

Close Record

. 

The record can be recalled from the datalogger. 

To recall a record: 
1.

   

Tap the 

Recall Record

 button. 

2.

   

Select an entry from the dropdown menu and tap 

OK

. 

The record is loaded and displayed on the map. 

Configuring and starting a localization 

(Localization) 

A localization is based on bearings. These bearings can be measured manually (e.g. by 

using the antenna handle and a appropriate antenna) or automatically with the ADF antenna. 

Depending on the 

Auto Localize

 setting the localization can be calculated automatically or 

triggered manually. All settings needed for localization can be found in the 

Localization

 

menu. 

To open the Localization menu:

Configuring localization (Config Localization) 

In this menu you can set the following localization parameters: 

Set Localization Area 

To reduce the amount of localization calculations, the localization area must be specified.
