Disadvantages

• Unnecessary capacitive components generated by wiring to strain gages, etc. need to be removed.

But, this is done automatically inside the DPM-900/950 series.

• The practical frequency of carrier wave is 30 kHz or thereabouts. High response is therefore

unavoidable.

• Easily affected by resistance induced by wirings.

From the above, the DPM-900/950 series is optimum for such strain measurements as follows.

1) General strain measurements using strain gages.
2) Measurements that requires high stability.
3) Measurements of small strain outputs. The yardstick will be about approximately 500 m/m.
