5-9 CALIBRATION SIGNAL
A calibration signal (CAL) is used for measurement the amount of a strain.
The value of this calibration signal is set to the CAL switch by using a positive 4-digit integer as an
amount of the strain.
The calibration value is settable in a range from 1 to 9999
ɛ
by an increment or decrement of 1µ
ɛ
.
Capable of adding the calibration signal to the output in any mode.
5-10 KEY-LOCK
The DPM-900/950 series provides key-lock function. Use the key-lock function in order to prevent the
measuring parameters from changing when the keys are touched by mistake.
While the key-lock function is active, setting operation other than POWER switch become invalid.
However, the setting values of the CAL and VOLTAGE OUT switches are changeable.
To activate the key-lock function, set the KEY-LOCK switch to the left position.
Output adding method of the calibration signal is
described in the following.
First, set the target calibration signal to the CAL
switch. Press the CAL ON switch. Press + of the
CAL ON switch for adding the positive calibration
signal, press – for negative calibration signal.
The calibration signal is added to the output while the
CAL ON switch is pressed.
It is also possible to activate the function by using an external control signal.
