Tower
The tower (A, fig.1) must always be fitted vertically, as viewed from the
front. Use the turnbuckle (B) to ensure the correct setting.
It is best to use the turnbuckle (B) when extending the tractor's centre
line. This ensures the least possible fluctuation of the plowing depth of
the rear body when the furrow width is being regulated
During plowing, it is best to use the top linkage for extending the trac
-
tor's centre line correctly behind the tower on the plow. This means
that distance D (1) is always a little smaller than D (2) because the
tractor is aslant with the right wheel in the furrow.
This can be adjusted in 3 different ways:
•
Swap over the top linkage ball and spacer (C, fig. 2).
NOTE!
Bolt F in triangle G must always be directly above the ball in the
top linkage to ensure there is no unnecessary tension in the
tower. This is particularly important on large plows. This means
it is important to rotate triangle fitting G.
•
Fit stop clips on the other side of the tower (D, fig. 2)
•
Fit the locking piece for the tower in the other hole (E, fig. 2)
This must be adjusted when the plow is plowing at the widest working
width
