Carry out maintenance at regular intervals
Carry out maintenance on the plow at regular intervals and as pre
-
scribed in »Maintenance and care«. Also replace worn parts as pre
-
scribed. Plows that are not well maintained can malfunction. This may
damage the plow or lead to injury.
Do not weld
Never carry out welding work on any part of the plow. The plow is
made of hardened steel, and any welding will adversely affect the
plow’s strength. Welding may irreparably damage the plow.
Retighten bolts and nuts
Regularly retighten all bolts and nuts on the plow. This is especially im
-
portant after the first few hours of use. Unnoticed loosening of bolts
and nuts may lead to damage or injury.

Replace the cross shaft after 1000 km (621 miles)
On large mounted plows we recommend that you replace the cross
shaft after 1000 km (621 miles) of road transport. Road transport
causes unrevealed damage to the cross shaft.
Proper working condition
Ensure that the tractor and the machine are always in proper working
condition. Make sure that the tractor brakes work in synchronisation
with the machine. Also follow the instructions in your tractor's opera
-
tor’s manual.
Wear protective clothing
Wear protective clothing, e.g. gloves, when working with sharp parts
of the plow. Parts that come into contact with the soil can be very
sharp. Failure to handle these carefully may lead to injury.
Spesified workwear
Do not wear loose fitting or other inappropriate clothing. Loose fitting
items of clothing may become caught in parts of the plow. Wear the
proper protective clothing. Different environments. Serious or fatal
injury may be caused if these guidelines are not followed.
Use original spare parts
Use only genuine Kverneland spare parts. Other products may ad
-
versely affect the correct operation of the plow and safety. The war
-
ranty will no longer be valid if parts not produced by Kverneland are
used.
Check the tire pressure
Regularly check to ensure the tire pressure meets the requirements.
Pressures which are too high or low may cause damage and exces
-
sive wear of the tire.
