Wheel Rake
8.10 Optional one side raking
(windrow turning)
From the transport position:
- With the tractor moving forward, activate tractor
hydraulics and fold the rake arms outward to the
desired raking width. The hydraulic hoses for
controlling the rake arm position will be marked with
blue bands.
- Engage the optional shut-off lock valve on one of
the lift cylinders to prevent its rake wheels from
moving to the working position.
- Activate tractor hydraulics to lower the rake wheels
until the lift cylinder rods stop pushing. The
hydraulic hoses for controlling the rake wheel
position will be marked with red bands.
The machine is in one side raking (windrow
turning) position.
The rake must be fitted with optional shut-off
valves at one or both of the lift cylinders to use
this feature.
Before placing the machine in one side
raking position:
- Check that nobody is within the machine
pivoting area.
- If there is someone, make sure the person
moves away.
Before adjusting, maintaining or repairing
the machine, perform the safety shutdown
procedure.
