Sausage Casserole
Ingredients
1 tsp oil
1 onion, chopped
4 sausages of your choice, sliced
2 garlic cloves, chopped
400g tin chopped tomatoes
½
tsp dried herbs of your choice
400g tin kidney beans, drained
½
tsp smoked paprika
100g brown-green lentils
200mL hot water
1 green capsicum, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
Preparation
• Preheat the cooker, covered, for 2–3 minutes on
the
Sear/Sauté
setting.
Add a little oil to the inner pot and saut
é
the onion and capsicum
for 2–3
minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the sausage slices and continue cooking
for a few minutes, then add the garlic.
• Mix the lentils with the hot water and add this mixture to the pot. Cover and
cook for about 5 minutes.
• Press the OFF | KEEP WARM button to cancel the program, then a
dd the
remaining ingredients and set the unit to
the
Stew
program and adjust the
cooking time to 50 minutes.
• Cook covered, stirring occasionally.
Beef Stew
Ingredients
1 tbsp oil
150mL red wine
500g beef chuck steak or gravy beef
500mL beef stock
1 large onion
Salt & pepper to taste
250g mushrooms
1 tbsp plain flour
2 carrots
Preparation
• Preheat the cooker, covered, for 2–3 minutes on the
Sear/Sauté
setting.
• Add the oil to the pot and when it is hot, sear the meat in batches. Remove
and set aside. Add onion, mushroom and carrots and cook until softened.
Add the beef and stir to combine. Add the wine, stock and seasoning.
Press
the OFF | KEEP WARM button to cancel the program, then set the unit to the
Stew
program and adjust the cooking time to 120 minutes.
• Cook, covered, stirring occasionally. Towards the end of the cooking time, stir
through the flour and let it cook through for a few minutes thicken the gravy.
