Checking gear oil level

The gear oil level must be checked when the engine is cold.

Stand the motorcycle upright on a horizontal surface.

Remove gear oil level check screw
. Stand the vehicle upright.

Check the gear oil level.
A small amount of gear oil should flow out of the hole.
» If no gear oil flows out:

Add gear oil. (
–
Mount and tighten the gear oil level check screw.

Engine oil and gear oil get very hot when the motocycle is driven.

Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves. If you scald yourself, hold the affected area under cold water immediately.

Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc., according to regulations.

Remove the gear oil drain plug with magnet

Completely drain the gear oil.

Thoroughly clean gear oil drain plug with magnet.

Clean the sealing area on the engine.
–
Mount the gear oil drain plug with magnet and the seal ring and tighten it.
