20.0 Mounting Instructions.
20.1 The boiler room
The boiler room
, in which the stoker is to be mounted, must have a layout in accordance with the current
regulations set out in the Danish Building Code and must comply with the prescriptions of the Danish
”Health and Safety Executive For Fuelled Hot water Plants” (publication No. 42/1980), further it must
meet the requirements of the Danish ”Fire Technique Instructions” No. 32.
To allow for servicing the plant, the minimum distances to the walls must be respected, see the below
sketch.
20.2 Stoker
20.2.1 Placing
Place the boiler on a stable and plane surface.
20.2.2 Flue gas outlet.
As a KSM-stoker runs with a very moderate flue gas temperature, this involves the following measures.
Flue tubes diameter Ø 187 are manufactured from 2mm sheets, if elbows occur on flue gas outlets it is
necessary to use elbows with cleaning flap.
If long free flue gas ducts are applied, they should be insulated in order to avoid condensed water which
would result in corrosion problems.
All joints must be tight, use furnace cement or glass string to tighten the joints.
As for the chimney itself it must either be from stainless steel, or be a brick chimney with an insulating
core.
Out of consideration of the chimney draught, the chimney should have a diameter of max Ø180mm.
