Work surface
Choose an easy-to-clean work surface on which to install the appliance. The appliance must be at least
20 cm from any vertical surfaces that are not heat-resistant in order to prevent damage by heat radiating
from the plates. To ensure maximum ease of use, the top of the irons should be between 85 and 95 cm
from the ground.
Connecting
The configuration for the gas supply to the appliance is indicated on the identification plate stuck to the air
intake ring or the base plate.
If you need to change the gas configuration of your appliance, please refer to the “Adjusting” chapter
page 22 (bag attached containing items required for the change-over)
The crepe maker must be connected to the link located under the appliance with metal hose in
compliance with the following standards, in agreement with the French regulation, and setting mentioned
in chart page 4 :

NF D 36121 for natural gas

NF D 36125 for 3

family Butane/propane gas.
The hose must not be subjected to loads or twisting. Check it is in good condition and do not hesitate to
change it if it looks cracked or slightly burnt.
Please verify the airtightness of the connection with soapy water

Using
Ignition
1.
Once the appliance has been fully installed ready to operate, check that the gas supply tap is open.
2.
When igniting for the first time after installation, push in the knob, place it on the maximum setting
and hold it pressed in for 5 seconds to allow the air in the gas pipe to the burner to escape. Then
release the knob.

Then:

For appliances with a safety thermostat of the CONFORT range : set the know to position 5,

For appliances with a safety tap of the CONFORT and STANDARD ranges: set the know to 8 or
in the “high flame” position.

Hold a flame between the plate and the frame or use the piezo ignition unit, then push the knob
without changing its position until the burner has ignited completely.

Continue holding the knob in for between 5 and 10 seconds to trigger the thermocouple system.
6.
Then release the knob and let the burner heat up for 3 to 4 minutes, before adjusting the knob to
position 1 (slow setting or small flame).
7.
Your appliance is now ready to use.
