Mount a new seal ring (9) each time the hub is dis-
mantled.

9 - Extract the outer rings (7) and (8).

HUB WHEEL

To install, reverse removal procedure.

Screw: 294 Nm

1 - Take the existing measurement

“X”

between the axle

shaft (6) and the ring bevel gear (5).

2 - Calculate the thickness of shim that should be inserted

between the disc (3) and the ring bevel gear (5) using
the following formula:

Z = X

–

= the shim pack

= the measurement taken

= residual clearance (0.05–0.125)

For example

: clearance measured

= 0.570

Addition of two shims of 0.2 and one of 0.1

3 - Check that the measurement

lies within the permis-

sible limits.

Grease the bearings (7) and (8).

Grease the lip of the seal ring (9).
