The color of the LED indicates the scanner status.

Status
Steady green
Ready to scan or scanning is in process.
Flashing green
Sleep mode.
Steady orange
Ready to scan or scanning with a warning. The
rollers need to be cleaned or replaced.
Flashing orange
Initializing or sleep mode with warning. Check
the status of the scanner using the User Utility.
Red
An error occurred.
