Pumps when properly installed & given due care in operation & maintenance
should operate satisfactorily for a long period.

When the pump is received, sometime before the actual use of pump, it
should be inspected & located in dry place. The coupling should be rotated
once in a month to prevent pitting of bearing surfaces.
