Cal Kit Operational Check

Noise Source Out Test

Set the PNA to Standalone Mode.

Remove the jumper from Port 1 CPLR THRU to test set CPLR THRU.

Figure 12 on

page 2

Figure 18 on page 2

Connect two RF test cables to the PNA Ports 3 and 4. Connect the two cables
together using an adapter.

Perform a response calibration to normalize and remove the loss created the test
cables.

Remove the adapter.

Connect the cable from Port 3 to Noise Source Out.

Connect the cable from Port 4 to the CPLR THRU on the test set.

Send the Test Set I/O command 0.8. Verify that the Ext Noise Source front panel
LED

is On.

Set trace S34 and verify that the trace is approximately -0 to -3 dB.
