Power connection X01A (Line IN)
The mains connection cable is always to be laid shielded (Line IN). The
shield connection at the device is made using a shield plate on the connec­
tor "LineIN" (in preparation).
Typically the conducted high­frequency interference is suppressed using a
suitable mains filter for the entire cabinet. For separate interference suppres­
sion on the multi­axis system, an optimised filter from KEBA can be fitted to
the connection (Line IN) on the supply module. The supply current and the
total motor cable length must be taken into account for sizing the filter.
On connecting the mains filter the shield must be connected at both ends. At
the device end the connection is made to the shield lug on the connector
Line IN. Good shielding of the connection on the mains filter is achieved by
mounting the mains filter on a metal, conductive, wellearthed base plate and
connecting the cable shield to the backing plate as close as possible to the
"Load" connection on the mains filter.
