Software update
The receiver obtains the data for a software update from the satellite signal.
ATTENTION
Material damage and loss of data due to the receiver being turned off
during an update!

Do not turn off the receiver during an update.
Performing a software update using the satellite signal
1. Open
Menu

The version numbers are displayed.
2. Note the current version number to con-
trol the software update later.
3. Open
Menu

Software Manager
▶
OTA Soft-
ware Download
.
4. Press
OK
to search for an update.

The receiver checks if there is a new
software version available. If there
is an update, an update dialogue
appears.
5. Press
Yes
to start the update.
➯
After a successful update the
receiver reverts to normal operation.

➯
If the update was successful, the
displayed version number is higher
and the date is more recent than the
values you have previously noted.
Tip
The update works only with the preset satellite and transponder (Astra 19.2°).
