Timer and sound settings

AC 3
The receiver has an audio output for AC 3 (Dolby Digital). This allows
you to have cinema sound in your own living room. Only connect the
digital sound output to a system suitably equipped for this!
Observe the instructions delivered with your Dolby Digital
system.
To be able to play back the AC 3 format, set the receiver in the
subtitle/audio menu at the “Audio Track” position, e.g. to “2 of 2”
or “3 of 3 (3 Ch)”. In the “Dig. Output” position, Dolby Digital is then
displayed when the program is transmitted in this format.
Only a few program providers transmit in AC 3. If no AC 3 signal is
received then only the normal stereo and mono settings can be made
or the additionally transmitted languages selected.
Switching off the sound
Press the

-button on the remote control. The sound is switched
off. The screen displays .
The sound is switched back on by re-pressing the

-button.
The normal scroll bar then appears for a few seconds.
You can change the program when the sound is switched off (mute)
but the sound stays off until you cancel this or you make a correction
to the volume.
