If a fault does occur, it is often due to something very minor. Using the following instructions, check whether you can rectify the fault
yourself. This will save you having to call in customer service unnecessarily.
If a malfunction cannot be eliminated with the above information disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply (unscrew the fuses
or trip the circuit breaker) and inform customer service.

Repairs to electrical equipment should only be carried out by authorized persons. Inexpert repairs can cause considerable danger
to the user.
What to do if …
Faults Cause Remedy
Heater does not switch
on. Power failure Reenergize the house installation circuit breaker.
Supply temperature too high
(27 kW appliance only). Open the hot water tap until the supply temperature
drops below 25 °C.
Heating switches off. Insufficient flow. Open up hot water tap slightly further or set the instant
water heater at a slightly lower temperature and mix in
less cold water at the water tap.
Heater is disabled due to excessive temperature or
unusual electrical malfunctions. Close the tap and open again after approx.
10 seconds.
Flow too powerful (only possible when the flow limiter
has been removed) Close the warm water tap slightly.
Knocking noises Quick shutoff of flow. Turn the tap off slowly.
Reduced
hot water flow Poor flow. Clean/descale spray heads or jet regulators.
Clean filter in the case of thermostat taps (follow
manufacturer’s instructions).
Poor flow. Pressure in water pipe is too low. Have the flow limiter in the instant water heater
removed professionally
Set the instant water heater at a high temperature and
mix in cold water at the water tap.
High temperatures are
not reached. If de-luxe fittings such as single-grip mixer taps or
thermostat taps are used, the instant water heater
must be set at a higher temperature than the
temperature required at the tap connection. Set the temperature selector on the instant water
heater to maximum.
Flow is too high. Close the hot water tap slightly.
Low cold-water supply temperature in winter Turn off the hot-water tap slightly.
Line voltage was interrupted, the new operating
parameters are determined electronically Operate the system at a constant flow for
approximately 2 minutes
Temperatures above
45 °C cannot be set on
the dial. Temperature limiter is installed. Remove the temperature limiter. See Page 21.
Noises from the
fuse box. Wrong load shedding relay Call in an electrician.
Relay not connected to phase L2 Call in an electrician.
