Begin the Walk-Around Inspection at item 1. Continue around
machine and check each item on this list.
NOTICE
DO NOT OVERLOOK VISUAL INSPECTION OF CHASSIS UNDERSIDE. CHECKING THIS
AREA MAY RESULT IN DISCOVERY OF CONDITIONS WHICH COULD CAUSE EXTENSIVE
MACHINE DAMAGE.
INSPECTION NOTE: On each item, make sure there are no loose or miss -
ing parts, they are securely fastened, no visible damage exists in addition
to any other criteria mentioned.
1. Platform Control Panel -
See Inspection Note.
2. Lanyard Attach Points -
Ensure lanyard attach points are
undamaged and secured to platform floor.
3. Rear Wheels (Auto-Locking Brakes) -
Check for debris
stuck to or around wheels. See Inspection Note.
4. Battery - Appropriate electrolyte level (if non-sealed bat -
tery); no battery terminal corrosion; tight connections.
5. Static Strap -
See Inspection Note.
6. Battery Isolator -
See Inspection Note.
7. Bubble Level Indicator -
Ensure bubble level indicator is
clean, secure, and responsive to movement.
8. Gate/Gate Latch - Entry gate swings freely when opened;
closes and latches properly when closed.
9. Swivel Castor Wheels -
Properly secured to chassis; wheels
and castors turn freely. Brakes lock and release, preventing
wheels from rolling when locked.
10. Arm Stack Assembly -
See Inspection Note.
11. Platform -
See Inspection Note.
12. Emergency Stop Button (on chassis and platform control
panel) - Push in to switch off, rotate and pull out to switch
on.
13. Hydraulic System, Emergency Lowering Valve, Battery
Charger (under cover):
a. Hydraulic System - Check hydraulic oil level in reser -
voir; check hydraulic lines for oil leaks; ensure hydraulic
connections are tight and undamaged (refer to Section
5.4 for more information).
b. Emergency Lowering Valve -
Ensure the emergency
lowering valve is closed before machine operation.
c. Battery Charger - See Inspection Note.
14. Ground Control Panel - See Inspection Note.
