2 Wheel Drive Operation

When the switch is in the 2 wheel drive position,
solenoid valve

is energised. The energised

solenoid

causes the valve spool to move and

form a connection between ports

Pressurised oil is directed to piston

via ports

. The piston moves actuating sleeve

then pressure plate

against the force of springs

, thus releasing the spring force on the clutch

friction/counter plates of clutch pack

friction/counter plates of clutch pack

rotate on the output shaft, thus disengaging drive
