Assembly and adjustment of the conventional power takeoff shaft
NOTE:
Before using the equipment for
the first time, clean and lubri-
ca-te all the PTO shaft points
with grease NLGI-2 lithium ba-
sed as shown in the illustration
be-side (for further informa-
tion on recommended grease,
refer to the lubrication table).
Only operate the power takeoff
shaft fitted with its protection
cover. The chain must be re-
-placed if one or more links are
stretched.
This procedure must be carried
out with the machine stopped
and the engine off. Employees
performing any kind of mainte-
-nance service in the PTO shaft
must wear adequate PPE such
as protective gloves, boosts,
glasses, etc.
• Install the PTO shaft on the IPTO (indepen-
dent power take off) and install the safety
chain. Angular movements should be con-
sidered when assembling the chain.
• Adjust the length by cutting the boom and
the protection proportionally. Be sure to re-
move and clean all burrs.
• Acople o cardã e instale a corrente de se-

• Shut-off the PTO in excessively closed
maneuvers.
