Problems, causes and corrections
Probable causes Indications and corrections
1. No rotation of the agricultural
chemical pump.
The pump must be driven at 540 rpm. Visually
check to see if the pump is being driven.
2. No water in the tank.
For the agricultural chemical circuit to operate it is
necessary that there be at least a little liquid, other-
wise there will be no pressure.
3. The 3 way valve on the filter is closed.
Due to the design of the 3 way valve, even when it is
in the closed position there will still be liquid flow -
ing when the pump operates, therefore there will be
insufficient flow.
4. Dirt filter
The dirt filter will prevent the free flow of the liquid.
Clean the filter at every fill up or more frequently,
depending on the quality of the water and the type
of chemical product.
5. Obstruction at the hose inlet.
Check if see if the hose that connects the filter to the
pump is not folded.
Check if there are no obstructions in the hoses from
the tank to the filter. Fill the tank, open the tap and
check if water flow abundantly.
6. Entry of air.
Check the filter’s sealing ring.
The sealing of the filter must be tight, without leakages.
7. Pump is not sucking.
Remove the cover off the suction valves.
Check the condition of the valves and replace them
if necessary.
